Alabama Strawberry Pageant Official Rules

Overview

*NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN IF PAID FOR A CLOSED AGED GROUP**

Participants & Check-In

Age Divisions 0 Months-Kindergarten: 10 AM

Check-In from 8:30-9:30 AM

Age Divisions 1st Grade-12th Grade: 2 PM

Check-in from 12:30-1:30PM - ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE CHECKED IN WITHIN THEIR CHECK-IN TIMES

Awards

A queen and 2 alternates will be awarded in each age division with more than 4 contestants. If only 4 contestants are in a division, then a queen and one alternate will be awarded. Queens will receive a crown and embroidered sash. Alternates will receive a medallion and a crown. Everyone receives a crown/tiara. A Photogenic, prettiest eyes, hair, smile, & dress award will be given in each age division.

Miss Alabama Strawberry Festival Queen Responsibilities

After the final selection of the queen, the queen may be responsible for participation in all events scheduled by Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism, such as Strawberry Festival 2025, Fair Parade, and Oktoberfest until a new queen is selected. The queen shall portray good conduct, good morals, and good manner. They will conduct themselves with dignity and always be a credit to Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism. Failure to follow this rule will be considered cause for dismissal. If actions or behavior are inconsistent with Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism, disciplinary action or removal of title will be at the sole discretion of Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism.

Fees

A $60 entry fee (Accepting the First 12 Participants in Each Division) is to be paid upon application submission (Includes Prettiest eyes, hair, smile, dress awards)

Photogenic Entry (Optional): $10 for each photo must be submitted and paid in person the day of the contestant's pageant

House Rules

All contestants will receive a crown/tiara.

The pageant is open to everyone, with no residency restrictions.

All entries must be received by April 1, 2025. Age divisions will be closed once they reach capacity of 12 per division.

Sunday dress or short/long pageant dress are accepted. However, pageant dresses are strongly recommended

This is a semi-natural pageant. While makeup is allowed at any age, please keep it age-appropriate for the stage. Absolutely NO FLIPPERS OR FAKE HAIR I.E. WIGS/WIGLETS/FALLS/CASCADES ALLOWED.

Our venue has asked that NO straight pen be used. You may use safety pens if needed.

We do not recommend any glitz style modeling during beauty walk.

We reserve the right to combine age groups with less than 3 contestants.

Admission is $7.00 per person except for contestants, all children under the age of 3, and one female adult with each contestantPhotogenic entries must be labeled. Pictures not labeled will not be accepted. (Pageant volunteers will not label pictures).

Contestants may rehearse once they have completed check-in.

Only 1 female person allowed in dressing rooms with contestant. No men allowed. Dads or male accompany may walk a contestant out on stage if so desired.

No food or drink allowed in dressing rooms.

Bad sportsmanship by contestants or guests will not be tolerated. Anyone exhibiting such behavior will be asked to leave and forfeit any monies paid.

No score sheets will be given.

No refunds will be given for any reason, unless the pageant were to be canceled.

Contestant Rules Acceptance

Participation in the Alabama Strawberry Festival Pageant Requires and/or Implies an acceptance of the states rules.
